Tanaka – the best from Japan

Tanaka History
Tanaka began as a Japanese family company in 1918. Tanaka has a proud history of innovation, especially in the highly competitive two-stroke engine market, which they were leaders in from the beginning.
In 1968, Tanaka appointed Parklands Power Products as its distributor in Australia. That year, the Tanaka brushcutter and engine drill made their first appearance locally – the first time Australia saw such machines.
Tanaka was first to market with these machines in Australia and has been continually evolving its products ever since. For over 40 years Parklands has been bringing Tanaka to Australian businesses and homes with great success. Tanaka has become synonymous around the country with quality, power and reliability.

In 1998, Tanaka was the first two-stroke manufacturer certified to the stringent C.A.R.B. Tier II emissions standards for California with the innovative, yet simple PureFire engine. Being ahead of the game has allowed Tanaka to gain a considerable amount of low emission technology experience well above four-strokes.
All Tanaka products comply with or exceed EPA phase 2 regulations and all Tanaka product groups are C.A.R.B Tier II compliant.

Parklands has a long and successful relationship with Murray ride-ons – a journey that began in 1990. Since then, Parklands has sold well over 100,000 Murray ride-on mowers to dealers across the country. World-renowned mower manufacturer, Murray is based in the United States. The company’s ride-on mower range is one of the most comprehensive on the market covering cutting decks from 30” (76.2cm) to 52” (132 cm).
Features include five-speed transmission, heavy duty twin beam power frame and powder coat finish (two coats). Models have either rear or sidedischarge, with bagging or mulching capabilities.
You can rest assured, when you buy a Murray machine from Parklands that you’re buying a USAmade machine with a great history of successful local use. In fact at its peak Murray was producing well over 500,000 machines in the USA annually for worldwide consumption.

The Grasshopper Company has specialized in manufacturing True ZeroTurn™ riding rotary mowers since 1970. Parklands has been bringing these machines into the Australian market for over ten years. Like Parklands, The Grasshopper Mower Company is a family-owned business. Grasshopper has nearly 50 years of manufacturing experience. Made exclusively in the USA, you know when you’re buying a Grasshopper – you’re buying the best.
Grasshopper produces both out-front and mid-mount machines to suit all applications in petrol and in diesel. For more than 35 years, Grasshopper has studied the needs of government entities, turf care professionals and equipment owners across Australia and around the world. Grasshopper engineers continuously research and test new product features and design their products for ease of maintenance. For example, there are only 5 easy-access grease nipples with no covers to remove and up to 1,000 hour service intervals on hydro pumps.

HiSun Quads and UTVs – the best from China

It’s a safe proposition to buy a HiSun machine by Parklander because you’re buying a machine from China’s largest off-road vehicle manufacturer. In the off-road industry for over 20 years, HiSun truly is a huge company with global influence.
Founded in 1988, HiSun began as a motorcycle manufacturer. In 1995, HiSun became the first privately-owned company in China capable of producing motor-driven vehicles, and was one of the first motorcycle companies to enter the Vietnam market successfully with its Lisohaka brand of machine. HiSun later established the first Chinese owned plant in Vietnam along with the first domestic motorcycle company in Indonesia, in 2001. Later that year HiSun produced Chongqing Motorcycle along with Jianshe Group.
In 2003, HiSun manufactured Jialing Motor in Sanhui in a joint venture with Jialing Group.
In 2005, HiSun worked with the famous British research consultant J&J Technological to improve and enhance its operations for the demanding Western market. Additionally in 2006 HiSun worked with the top Korean design company YiLo to improve its designs.
Later in 2006, HiSun established a base in Hubei in conjunction with Sanjiang Space Group – one of China’s top 500 enterprises.
In 2007, HiSun cooperated with Japan’s Fuji Heavy Industries, one of the top 4 in the industry worldwide, to establish a 2WD and 4WD production line in Shanghai. HiSun also invited Fuji to assist with the marketing of HiSun both domestically and internationally. Later that year, HiSun began a partnership with the American giant Wal-Mart and commenced construction of the HiSun Industrial Park which would later become the largest motorcycle industry base in China.
In 2010, HiSun moved into its newly completed factory which was 5 times larger than the old one.
Today HiSun is China’s largest producer of off-road vehicles with quality and features comparable with the best from Japan and the USA.
